The LUNEDELTA commercial area is being developed in the south of Bremerhaven. Covering approximately 150 hectares, the site is planned to offer companies a range of options for commercial use and different types of space. Its development takes into account various aspects, including energy supply, water management and the design of open spaces. Planned measures include an energy concept incorporating renewable energy sources, a water management concept and areas within the site designed with natural features.
The quality of the planning has been recognised with a DGNB Platinum Pre-Certificate from the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The LUNEDELTA is being developed as a site for future-oriented economic activities and is intended to provide space for a range of companies and commercial uses. Immerse yourself in a new era of future-oriented business – the LUNEDELTA welcomes you!
The development concept for LUNEDELTA includes various measures that incorporate the existing landscape into the design of the commercial area. A key element of the planning is the provision of extensive open spaces along the remains of the former dykes. These areas are planned to include wet meadows as well as spaces for recreational and sports activities. A planned network of paths is intended to connect the different areas and provide access to the surroundings for walking and other recreational activities. In this way, the planning takes into account not only commercial uses, but also the design of open spaces and the integration of the existing landscape.
Rainwater from private plots is intended to be collected on-site for reuse for rainfall events of up to a ten-year return period. Excess water is to be conveyed via separators into the adjacent drainage ditches. The separators, or alternative systems, are to be located within the designated “circulation zones”. Rainwater collected on the commercial plots that cannot be reused will be directed into collection ditches and subsequently conveyed to the central LUNEDELTA water system within LUNEDELTA Park. In the event of heavy rainfall exceeding the planned capacity, the resulting water will be discharged into the receiving water system at a controlled rate.
Another important aspect of the planning concerns green spaces and parks. Targeted planning and management of development processes within the business park are intended to coordinate the settlements and promote synergies between the companies. Particular attention is paid to the creation of shared resources, known as “commons”. These resources are available to the companies and offer them additional support in their decision to relocate.

The LUNEDELTA project is being developed in line with demand and will be implemented in several stages. Construction of the initial cluster began in autumn 2024. The luniq start-up centre, with workshop facilities, offices and shared spaces, marks the beginning of the development. In the planning and construction of the luniq, various aspects of resource-efficient building are being taken into account.
The luniq and LUNEDELTA have been assessed during the planning phase in accordance with the criteria of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) and received a Platinum rating.
The DGNB certifications relate to the respective planning and document the assessment based on the sustainability criteria defined for the certification. The development of the LUNEDELTA is accompanied by further public communication activities to provide information about the project and its planned measures and to raise awareness of the site among companies.
