The economic development company BIS is the service-provider and partner for all companies who wish to invest, grow, restructure or relocate to Bremerhaven. A competent team of specialists is on hand to offer assistance with the following services:

The various divisions and departments of BIS work hand in hand to ensure that interdisciplinary issues can be solved quickly and easily. The channels for decision-making are kept direct, inter alia through the close contact maintained by BIS with the economic departments of the “Magistrat” city administration, which report directly to the Lord Mayor. What is more, BIS can decide autonomously on the applications for the economic development programmes provided by the State of Bremen.
